The Summer Grand Prix has already set its return date to Spanish Television. The renowned program presented by Ramón García will once again occupy the programming of La 1 starting next Monday, July 24, at 10:35 p.m. This was announced this morning by its host on Radio Nacional de España's A Media Mañana. The towns of Alfacar in Granada, and Colmenarejo in Madrid, will be in charge of opening the contest, with Miguel Ángel Muñoz and Lolita as their respective sponsors.
The summer show returns in style and loaded with news. On this occasion, Ramón García will have the collaboration of the streamer Cristinini and the actress Michelle Calvó to direct the program. The content creator will be the expert in games and tests of this edition, telling them from her cabin with different curiosities. For her part, Calvó will be the ambassador of the towns, letting viewers know the details of the participating towns.
Another new participant in this new version of the contest is Víctor Ortiz, better known by his stage name: Wilbur. The ex-gymnast champion of Spain will be in charge of explaining the different tests that are carried out, with a comic and acrobat tone inspired by his performances in the circus. Along with these functions, the comedian will also have the mission of finding a town that represents him, among the eight that participate.
Through a press release, Televisión Española has added news about the tests that will be carried out to the information. Classic games like Crazy Trunks, Super Bowling, Dictionary, Hot Potato and Diaper Basketball will be back, along with tweaked challenges. Las Manos will return in the form of penguins, while different gymkanas will be incorporated where a new character will participate: the dinosaur Niko.
Niko will be present in some of these large-scale tests and other games, bothering the participants before finishing the test and interacting with Ramón, Michelle and Cristinini. We will see him as both a dinosaur and a dragon, according to the test. Along with him, the iconic Heifer returns, this time in the form of an NBA-style mascot with different wild cards that battling teams can use in three different ways to hinder their opponents.
Aguilar de Campo (Palencia), Alfacar (Granada), Brión (Coruña), Cervelló (Barcelona), Colmenarejo (Madrid), Los Montesinos (Alicante), Tineo (Asturias) and Yepes (Toledo), will be the towns that will try to win victory in this new edition of the mythical contest. During the previous weeks, the rumor came to emerge that RTVE would also recover the Peque Prix, the children's version of the program, something discarded by the content director Ana María Bordás.
