The red carpet of the Planeta award

New literary gala night in the oval hall of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, which has already hosted, without pandemic restrictions, a broad representation of the cultural, social and political world of the country. The number of guests once again exceeded a thousand, some 1,100 faces without a mask compared to 650 in the last edition.

A wide representation of writers, about 200, has paraded along the red carpet, actually blue, of letters. Carmen Mola, who a year ago surprised us with her three-headed nature composed of Jorge Díaz, Agustín Martínez and Antonio, has not missed the appointment. Mercero, the first to repay the million euros with which the most well-endowed award in Spanish literature is now paid. Other winners such as Eva García Sáenz de Urturi, Espido Freire or the members of the jury Carmen Posadas, Juan Eslava Galán, Fernando Delgado or Rosa Regàs have shared toasts and greetings with colleagues such as Máximo Huerta, Leticia Dolera, María Oruña or Carme Riera.

The institutional representation has been headed by Vice President Yolanda Díaz; the Minister of Culture Miquel Iceta together with his colleagues Pilar Alegría and Joan Subirats; the Minister of Culture Natàlia Garriga and the mayor of Barcelona Ada Colau. The president of Grupo Planeta, José Creuheras, has acted as host of the 71st edition of some awards that have also had among their guests the editor-in-chief of La Vanguardia, Javier Godó, Count of Godó, Marisa Falcó, Countess of Godó; the CEO of the Godó Group, Carlos Godó, the editorial advisor of the Godó Group, Ana Godó.
