The intense rains of the last few hours have caused the collapse of a building under construction in the Barcelona municipality of Sant Pere de Ribes, an incident in which no injuries have been reported.
Sources from the emergency services have informed EFE that at 7:48 a.m. this morning they were alerted to the collapse of a building under construction, with two floors and which was built with prefabricated plates, located on Cau Ferrat street in the town. .
Five crews from the Fire Brigade and another from the canine unit have gone to the scene, and have verified that no person was trapped under the rubble.
The officers have also confirmed that the collapse of the building has not affected the nearby homes and have pointed out the rains that have fallen in recent hours as the most probable hypothesis of the collapse.
A municipal architect has also traveled to the scene of the accident, as well as members of the electricity and gas companies, supplies that had already been installed in the property.
As a result of the rains, the Firefighters have also removed this morning a large stone that had slid and fell on the fence of the El Solell public school, in La Palma de Cervelló (Barcelona).
The Catalan Traffic Service, for its part, maintains a closed lane in the province of Girona on the C-31 at the height of Calonge, in the direction of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and offers an alternative passage on the GI-682 road, in Tossa de Mar, due to two landslides on the road as a result of the rains.
