The PSPV accuses the PP of "attacking the Valencian and the AVL" and of "insubordination to the Statute"

The PSPV-PSOE has issued a statement in which it denounces "the unprecedented attack on Valencian and the legal insubordination in linguistic matters in which the Consell del PP Y VOX has installed itself". The deputy José Chulvi, who signs the statement, criticizes that the PP "has bought Vox's anti-Valencian agenda" and "disregards the hallmarks of Valencians." "The first thing to do is comply with the Statute of Autonomy and with the institutions that emanate from it, such as the Valencian Academy of Language."

The PSPV accusation refers to the statements by the Minister of Education, José Antonio Rovira, in which he assessed this morning that the Valencian Academy of Language, AVL, "does not have the absolute truth about Valencian as no one else does" , and has defended that "everyone use the Valencian they deem appropriate". He said this when asked about the statements by former president Eduardo Zaplana in this newspaper in which he defended the validity of the entity he created in 1998. In this regard, the minister added that he does not see the possibility of using "other regulations" outside the statutory entity.

Chulvi has highlighted that "it seems incredible that a black-legged Zaplanista like Rovira questions the authority of the Valencian Academy of Language; for something from Zaplana that his political heirs would have to copy, they don't." In this sense, Chulvi has also remarked that "the only one to blame for this nonsense is Carlos Mazón" because "the first thing a government has to do is comply with the law": "They send society a message of enormous responsibility."

Lastly, the socialist leader stressed that "the lack of respect of the Consell towards the Valencian cannot be allowed, disseminating messages through official channels with texts full of misspellings, offering a very regrettable image that is intended to be attack the defense and protection of our language"
