The PSOE gives Almeida "the commandments to be a good mayor"

The PSOE spokesperson in Madrid, Mar Espinar, gave the mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, "the commandments to be a good mayor" on Tuesday, arguing that Almeida "is a man of convictions, but recently they have faltered."

This is what Espinar said in the plenary session of Cibeles this morning, in which he was presented with this "adaptation" of the text of the Old Testament.

“You will love Madrid above all things (you cannot be more of a national spokesperson than mayor of this city), you will not take the name of Madrid in vain (the city defends itself with acts and management), you will sanctify the holidays and honor the neighbors and to public spaces (because you have to know how to stop the urban hits) ”, the socialist began to recount.

And he continued: "You will not kill politics, you will not commit impure acts, you will not steal and you will not let them steal from you (because the case of the masks has been a scandal, due to lack of management and obscene favoritism), you will not give false testimony or unfulfilled promises and you will not consent to impure thoughts or acts.”

As a climax, Espinar has blurted out that "other people's assets should not be coveted", adding that "the Villa Agreements are the patrimony of all the City Council groups", so "you only have to execute them and not hang medals".

"It is never too late to repent and make amends, because everything remains to be done and it is time to build," stressed the PSOE spokeswoman.

Almeida, for his part, has highlighted that Espinar gives him these "commandments" because "he knows he is going to be re-elected" as mayor, and has reproached that "to love Madrid is to be in Madrid", contrary to what he does, to his trial, the PSOE candidate, Reyes Maroto.

He has also defended, in relation to the question of the PSOE, that one of the "big problems" of the city concerns the environment, and for this reason the Bicimad shared bicycle system will be free unlimited from March 7 to March 31. of July.

Other challenges, he has settled, are "consolidating the Madrid model" which implies "freedom, economic freedom, generation of employment and wealth, and low taxes."
