The PSOE exhibits its voting discipline in the face of the harassment of the PP for the sedition reform: "No hand will tremble"

The PP wants to test all the deputies of the PSOE, to demonstrate whether or not the sincerity of barons like García Page or Lambán regarding the abolition of sedition is true. In addition to a network campaign directly addressed one by one to the socialist deputies, so that "they are not accomplices", the spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, Cuca Gamarra, has requested that the vote on the PSOE and United Nations bill We can do it by call, that is, each of the deputies will have to express their vote out loud.

The socialist reaction has been to say that "no hand will tremble", they warn La Vanguardia, without any shadow of a doubt, in the leadership of the PSOE. The 120 deputies of the socialist group in Congress will vote this Thursday in favor of taking into consideration the bill to reform the Penal Code that eliminates the crime of sedition, for which the leaders of the process were convicted, and aggravates the crime of public disorder. No matter how much the Popular Party has deployed a campaign to "target" the socialist deputies, who are summoned not to be "accomplices" of said criminal review.

They refer to the campaign that the PP has started on social networks, with the hashtag

"In the socialist group there is voting discipline," they wield in the leadership of the PSOE. And no deputy will skip it to play the game of a PP that they see installed "in permanent barbarity, in insult and constant disqualification", as denounced this Wednesday by the socialist spokesman in Congress, Patxi López.

In fact, the Socialists warn that the PP's strategy of trying to point out its deputies, with names and surnames in each territory, is only a reaction to the umpteenth sample of "lack of leadership" that they attribute to Alberto Núñez Feijóo himself, after the new face to face that he maintained the day before with Pedro Sánchez in the Senate. "The day of truth for Feijóo was yesterday, and he failed again," they point out in Ferraz. “It is the only problem they have, and the reason for this new verbal escalation”, they assume.

Patxi López himself already warned Feijóo a couple of weeks ago not to “make any more mistakes”, when trying to encourage internal dissensions in the socialist ranks due to the reform of the crime of sedition. "This is the usual PSOE," he replied to the PP leader for seeking to get the two socialist regional presidents critical of the reform (the Castilian-La Mancha Emiliano García-Page and the Aragonese Javier Lambán) to stand up to Pedro Sánchez. But Feijóo's strategy pricked the bone. "We are not a solution to your political impotence," Page responded to the PP leader. "They must be doing very badly if they expect the PSOE to lend them a hand," he ironized. "I will not cheer on PP presidents so that they go against Feijóo, it does not seem to me that it is the way," settled the president of Castilla-La Mancha.

The Aragonese Lambán spoke in the same sense. "It is incredible that the PP is attempting a socialist rebellion against Pedro Sánchez," he criticized. “If they were an alternative, if they believed in themselves, they could file a motion of no confidence. They dare not, ”he stressed. "I am against suppressing sedition, but don't count on me for your strategies," Lambán settled.

The PP tries to demonstrate that the positions of García Page or Lambán are "lip service" and with a purely electoral intention. That is why he wants the deputies, whom he challenges in his campaign, to take a picture in tomorrow's vote. "Tomorrow is the day of truth for parliamentarians and socialist barons. Words are one thing and deeds another," said the spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, Cuca Gamarra.

The socialist spokesman in Congress, Patxi López, has insisted this Wednesday that the PP "is today an anti-system party", as it is "whenever it loses power". “It does not comply with the Constitution, it seeks confrontation, it plays populism, it has no sense of State, it has no vision of the country and it has no leadership. Spain needs another right. Unfortunately, that is not what we have at the moment, ”he lamented. "The PP is still installed in the insult and disqualification, without contributing anything that is not fueling the confrontation and harming coexistence," he assured.

Feijóo, in the opinion of Patxi López, "does not command, does not lead." "He does what they tell him, what Ayuso sends him, the directors of some media, the gatherings." “The only pact that Feijóo has been allowed to make has been the pact with Vox in Castilla y León. Not even the pact to comply with the Constitution ”, he has insisted. “Only in the last week we have heard of everything: a government kneeling before the coup plotters, kneeling before the terrorists, that we trampled on the Constitution, that we are incompetent, that we chose the executioners and abandoned the victims, that we supplanted justice, a government for sexual offenders, philoterrorists, useless… This is not doing politics, it is seeking confrontation”, he warned. And that, he has settled, only leads to profiles like "a Trump, a Bolsonaro or a Meloni" emerging in Spain.

The objective of the PP's action on social networks, which has been a Trending Topic on Twitter, according to PP sources, is to appeal to the "sense of State" of the PSOE deputies from all over Spain and urge them to stop with their vote the repeal of crime of sedition, "thus guaranteeing the protection of our rule of law questioned by Pedro Sánchez".

For the PP, the President of the Government "has certified, once again, that his political preference is to abound in radicalism and extremism", and for this reason he does not mind agreeing "with those parties that want to break the unity of our country , even if that means contradicting and disavowing a Supreme Court ruling and failing to protect the rule of law in the face of the possibility of a repeat of a blow to the constitutional order in the future similar to the one that occurred in 2017 in Catalonia by the pro-independence leaders," they say in the PP.

For this reason, in this campaign, the PP urges all the socialist deputies and each one in particular to "act responsibly and with a high vision, thinking about the good of their country and not about the survival of Sánchez in La Moncloa", and asks them "not to abandon the non-independence Catalan citizens again", who consider that, "if this legislative reform goes ahead, they will feel even more abandoned by the Government of Pedro Sánchez".

In the campaign, which is parallel to the one that the PP will start tomorrow with events throughout Spain, with the presence of Feijóo, the first in Badajoz, coinciding with the debate in Congress, the popular ones address the socialist regional presidents, to remind them that tomorrow they have "the opportunity to stop this reform of the Penal Code by asking the socialist deputies elected in each of the provinces of their autonomies to vote against this legislative change in favor of the seditious" that in addition, they emphasize, the Government intends to process urgently.

"Their silence - the PP reminds them -, that of the supposed barons of the PSOE, would be understood as a sign of complicity with the road map agreed between Pedro Sánchez and the independence movement" and warns them that "the rank of baron is achieved having organic power and exercising it in transcendental historical moments.

With a marked electoral character, with which the PP prepares the municipal and regional elections in May, which Feijóo has given as an example of a motion of censure against Sánchez for this matter, the popular ones affect the attitude of the socialist barons, who will have that appointment with the polls, to which he says that "the regional presidents of the PSOE will be direct protagonists of tomorrow's vote."
