The PP will appeal to the TC together with Cs the decree law that avoids 25% the Castilian

The PP has already contacted Cs to take to the Constitutional Court the decree law approved by the Government of the Generalitat that suppresses the percentage of 25% of classes in Spanish that the courts have imposed on the Generalitat to comply with the law.

The decree approved by the Government to avoid the application of the ruling that establishes that at least 25% of teaching hours must be taught in Spanish in Catalan educational centers, abolishes the "numerical parameters" in the use of languages in schools, with the intention that "the sentences do not condition the Catalan school model", according to the spokeswoman for the Generalitat, Patrícia Plaja.

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, announced from Rotterdam, where he is attending the congress of the European People's Party (EPP), this decision, while reminding the Generalitat that "the rule of law works and is the basis of a democracy , and in a state of law, sentences are fulfilled".

For Feijóo, with the decree approved by the Generalitat, "throwing a crack at the rule of law" is being made and criticized the fact that the Government is looking the other way and leaves compliance with the law in the hands of the judges", which is why the PP will do everything in its power to "protect the rights of citizens to know and use the co-official languages in an autonomous community."

The leader of the PP is convinced that the silence that the Government maintains on this issue, and its lack of decision to stop it, is due to the fact that "it prefers to maintain its alliance with ERC than guarantee compliance with the law", which will be what the PP defends with a "cordial bilingualism" that means that Catalan is used and known, which is the language of Catalonia, but also Spanish, the common language of all Spaniards. What the PP wants, he said, is "that they can live together perfectly."

For Alberto Núñez Feijóo "it is very sad that in the 21st century there is a government of an autonomous community that is clearly illegal" and it is even more so, he said, that "it has the support of the Catalan socialists and that the Government of Spain don't say anything and support yourself to govern Spain in those whose objective is to finish off Spain".
