The PP takes to the streets in Valencia to demand the Government resigns due to the law of 'only yes is yes'

The PPCV took to the streets this Saturday to toughen its speech against the 'only yes is yes' law with the participation of the president of the PPCV, Carlos Mazón, and the spokeswoman for the PP in Les Corts and in the Valencia City Council and popular candidate for mayor, María José Catalá, in a critical mobilization against the law promoted by the Ministry of Equality.

The PPCV has concentrated both in Valencia and Alicante to demand resignations "yes or yes" and an "immediate" rectification of the law, which it has described as "the worst law of Spanish democracy" because it is, it has warned, "a bloodletting against the woman." "The repeal of the law is a matter of moral obligation," they have expressed.

"There is no fact in the history of Spanish politics that is as disastrous for feminism and the defense of women as this law", denounced the popular in the concentration held in front of the Government Delegation in the Valencian Community, located in the square of the Temple of Valencia.

"This is no longer about trouble within the central government; it is no longer about electoral calculations; it is not about botching first and then the arrogance of the Podemos ministers together with the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, or the PSOE ministers; this is not about anything other than the victims," said Mazón, who stressed that the "immediate repeal" of this law is "a matter of moral obligation."

The president of the PPCV has lamented that in the Valencian Community "there are 55 rapists or abusers who are rubbing their hands", which, he has indicated, "means that there are 55 absolutely terrified victims and the whole of society dismayed by an injustice that is increasingly worse".

Likewise, he has criticized that "only electoral calculations, political stories, internal troubles, gargantuan and astonishing negotiations are witnessed", but "there is not a single decision, not a single request for forgiveness and not a single rectification". "We have warned before, during and after, this is bleeding against women," she insisted.

In this sense, Mazón has stated that some political leaders "are thinking of everything except the victim" and has affirmed that the PP "is not going to stop picking up a social outcry from women, men, mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers". "We are going to continue in this line," she has advanced.

For his part, Catalá stressed that "not one more minute, not one more day, cannot go by without this unjust law, which is the worst of Spanish democracy, continuing to display its effects." "Of the 500 sexual predators who have seen their sentences reduced or who have been released under this law, 55 correspond to the Valencian Community," he warned.

"Let's think of the 55 women, girls, girls who have been sexually assaulted and who now have to do with impotence and rage as the predator who was going after them takes to the streets or lowers their sentence," he pointed out.

In her opinion, "there is no event in the history of Spanish politics that is as disastrous for feminism and the defense of women as this law, which does not protect daughters, that justice cannot be demanded, that is seen as predators take to the streets or reduce their sentences".

Catalá lamented that, when a government "is not capable of immediately modifying or repealing a law after so many months", it gives "a lot of importance and anger". For this reason, he has ensured that on behalf of "all women, not only of the PP, but of so many women in this city and the Valencian Community who send their anger and indignation to the party", the political formation has celebrated this act " simple" but at the same time "very important" and "symbolic".

"That's good, resignations are requested yes or yes, a rectification and repeal of the 'only yes is yes' law is demanded, and that incompetent people who do not know how to legislate can never make laws that are harmful to our girls and women. daughters", he stressed, while denouncing that the Government of Spain "does not know how to react, does not want to, is not capable, when the whole of society tells it that the law has to be modified and repealed".
