The PP studies presenting appeals in the TC against the approved reforms

Alberto Núñez Feijóo is convinced: "The Government approves laws knowing that they are unconstitutional", and for this reason the legal services of the PP are studying all the regulations approved in Parliament in recent weeks, from the reforms of the Penal Code to abolish the crime of sedition and the reduction of penalties for the crime of embezzlement for those who have not obtained personal gain, up to the trans law.

If these legal services confirm the reasons for unconstitutionality that they have raised up to now from a political point of view, the PP will present appeals before the Constitutional Court. The popular maintain that both the crime of sedition and that of embezzlement have been reformed to benefit specific people, the independentistas convicted by the procés, for which it would be an attack against the equality of the Spaniards enshrined in the Constitution.

The PP is also waiting for the Government to present the announced proposal that reforms the law of the Judiciary and that of the Constitutional Court, to modify the form of election of judges. They assure that if it is presented with the content as it appeared in the amendments suspended by the Constitutional Court, for the popular it would also be an unconstitutional proposition.

The argument is that it modifies the form of election of the TC magistrates that the Constitution provides for, and removes the ability to verify suitability. That appeal would have nothing to do with the amparo that the popular parliamentarians presented, because "now the Constitutional Court has limited itself to protecting the deputies", and it is that "we are all subject to the rule of law, and to say that it has been muted to the cameras, it is mere populism” and asked “is there anything more democratic than resorting to the Constitutional Court?”.

In an interview on Antena 3, the president of the PP revealed that he met "a few days ago" with the president of Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas, although he assured that they had not dealt with the internal problems that the orange formation is going through. What they did with her was "share with her many impressions about the authoritarian drifts of the Government."

According to the leader of the PP, it is not about the PP signing Cs public offices. "I am not here to make takeover bids for the parties," Feijóo said, "but I make myself available to their voters", because the PP is interested in expanding his electoral base and, for this reason, he addresses his voters, whether they are left or right, so that they "come together in the PP", if what they want is for the government to change.

Feijóo made an announcement that sounded like a summons to Pedro Sánchez for after the elections. He assured that he will not govern "if he does not win the elections", and he hopes that the current president will do the same, because at least he understands politics that way.
