The PP paralyzes that PNV and Junts have their own group in the Senate despite needing their support

The PP has used the control it has of the Senate Board to momentarily paralyze that PNV and Junts have their own group in the Chamber despite being two formations that it is trying to attract in Congress so that the candidate Alberto Núñez Feijóo can achieve the necessary support to be invested.

The first vice president of the Senate, Javier Maroto, has communicated that the Board of the Upper House has requested a report from the legal services so that they study the formation of some parliamentary groups, since in certain cases there are "more" senators on loan than "own ".

This situation, Maroto has reasoned, "has led the president of the Senate", Pedro Rollán, to require "the assessment of the lawyers".

The governing body of the Senate, in fact, has only constituted today the three parliamentary groups about which it has no doubts. Namely, those of PP, PSOE and that of Izquierdas por la independencia, which make up the senators of ERC and EH Bildu.

In this way, it remains to be decided whether the three senators from JxCat, the one from the Canary Islands Coalition, another from the BNG and one more from the Agrupación Herreña Independiente (AHI), with the loan of four senators from the PSOE, form a group. Also if the five PNV senators can be a group with the transfer of five Socialists.

And finally, the case of the left is in the air, which currently has four senators from Más Madrid, Compromís, Agrupación Socialista Gomera (ASG) and Evissa/Formentera to the Senat, therefore, while waiting for Navarra to designate the representative of Geroa Bai, needs up to six socialist senators to form a group.
