The PP grants García Egea the presidency of a commission in Congress

The isolation suffered by Teodoro García Egea within his party has come to an end and, after five months as a low-level deputy, the PP has awarded its former secretary general the presidency of the Congress Road Safety Commission. Officializing the shelving of the Genoa crisis that ended the leadership of Pablo Casado.

The appointment took place this Thursday, by absolute majority. And the Murcian will replace the popular Juan José Matarí. Adding to his allocation of 3,050.62 euros as a deputy, and his monthly compensation of 1,959.62 euros, for being a representative for Murcia -a constituency other than Madrid-, a supplement of 1,551.58 euros in representation expenses as commission president , as indicated in the economic regime of Congress.

The election of a new leadership of the PP has led to multiple changes in the parliamentary group of Congress, in commissions and in the positions that the different representatives occupy in the hemicycle.

Also in the Permanent Council, from which deputies related to Pablo Casado have emerged, such as Egea himself, Ana Beltrán, Antonio González Terol or Alberto Casero, giving way to Carmen Navarro, Ángel González, José Antonio Bermúdez de Castro, among others.
