The PP asks Sánchez to dismiss Marlaska for "lying" about Melilla

Half measures or silence are over. After the trip of the deputies of the Interior Commission to Melilla and the viewing of the images of what happened last July with the assault on the fence, the PP has requested the dismissal of the Interior Minister, Fernando Grande Marlaska.

The general coordinator of the PP and number three of the PP, Elías Bendodo, was in charge of demanding this dismissal from the President of the Government, "better today than tomorrow", because, he said, "you can be wrong, but you cannot lie".

The PP underlines that Spain is "in the international spotlight" for a serious matter, and that is why it is necessary to clarify what happened, "and if corpses have been transferred from Spanish territory to Morocco and the minister said that it was not so", the minister has to be stopped.

Elías Bendodo recalled that the Prime Minister, when the avalanche occurred, the first thing he said was that the tragedy had been "well resolved", but "we still do not know the number of victims, nor if there were orders from La Moncloa or the Ministry inland".

That is why the PP demands that the President of the Government "show his face" and clarify "if he was aware of what happened or if he gave instructions for it to happen." But above all, number three of the PP summons the president to "not hide behind the Security Forces" in this matter, as in the opinion of the PP he has done so far.

The PP is interested, above all, in the Prime Minister responding to a question, for which he has already requested his appearance in Congress. The PP wants to know if "there was any unworthy order to the civil guards by their political superiors." But that will come later, first, in the opinion of the popular, the dismissal of the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska, for lying.
