The police are closer to finding those responsible who hung a hanged doll on a bridge with the shirt of Vinícius from Real Madrid hours before the Madrid derby of the Copa del Rey played last week. According to Cadena Ser, the Provincial Police Information Brigade has analyzed numerous fingerprints and genetic traces of people on that Valdebebas bridge where said doll appeared along with the banner with the message "I hate Real".

The results can be decisive in order to find out the identity of the authors. The security cameras in the area will also help when the suspects' vehicles and their respective license plates appear. The Being talks that it would be six people.

The Government delegate in Madrid, Mercedes González, explained this week that there will be news on the matter in the coming days. "Provincial Police Information Brigade is going well. I hope that soon we can give good news," she said at a press conference.

The delegate called the act "pure racism and hatred" and urged Atlético de Madrid to be "very forceful" with the actions of its main ultra group, the Frente Atlético. The rojiblanco club condemned the events, as well as Real Madrid, the Federation and LaLiga.

The Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport, after meeting last Monday at the headquarters of the State Attorney General's Office, released a statement stating that the police opened a investigation "to find the authors" of the act against Vinícius.

The Provincial Information Brigade also undertook proceedings for the display of a banner in the run-up to the Madrid derby, presumably by Real Madrid's Ultras Sur, which showed the face of Anne Frank together with the logo of the Frente Atlético and the following message: "Anne Frank is from Atleti".

Vinícius played that game and scored a goal in extra time that sent the Whites through to the semifinals of the cup tournament. On September 18, the Brazilian was already the victim of racist chants in the Metropolitan during the league match between the two leading clubs in the Spanish capital.
