La Paeria de Lleida, name of the city council, has presented the initial proposal for the 2024 budget, which will reach 217 million euros, 4.9% less than this year and which is due, above all, to the decrease in calls for Next Generation aid.
Mayor Fèlix Larrosa has highlighted that the accounts present "an important containment of spending" and also make an "effort to guarantee human resources."
The investments total 31 million and, among the notable projects, is the renovation and installation of new lighting points and the remodeling of Rambla Ferran. Larrosa added that the draft of the accounts is "alive" and has reached out to the rest of the political groups in the opposition to finish configuring them to be able to take them to the plenary session on December 22.
