The new Attorney General of the State, Álvaro García Ortiz, has promised his position this Tuesday in the presence of the King, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, the Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop and the President of the Supreme Court and the General Council of the Judiciary , Carlos Lesmes. After promising his position before the King, García Ortiz can now exercise his position but the formal inauguration will take place on September 5 at the headquarters of the State Attorney General's Office, in Madrid. The Prime Minister arrived at the palace shortly before noon and was received in the courtyard by Jaime Alfonsín, head of the King's House. Complying with protocol, Sánchez wore a suit and tie, although he later chose to take it off for the subsequent press conference.
