The nationalist demonstration of October 9 demands more sovereignty and combat the extreme right

The traditional nationalist march that closes the vindictive acts of October 9 has toured the streets of Valencia this afternoon to claim more sovereignty and rights for the Valencians. In a festive atmosphere, to the sound of the tabal and the dolçaina, thousands of people summoned by the Commission 9 d'Octubre have also called for a stop to hate speech and the advance of the extreme right.

In the demonstration - this year under the slogan "We win sovereignty" - Cultural Action of the Valencian Country, ACV Tirant Lo Blanc, Ca Revolta, Decidim, Escola Valenciana, Plataforma per la Llengua, Societat Choral el Micalet, BEA, CCOO, Intersyndical, Compromís, United Left, Podemos and Republican Left of the Valencian Country.

They have joined the march, under a strong police device that has even separated the protesters into blocks and has proceeded to identify many of them, two other anti-fascist marches have joined the cry of "València will be the tomb of feixisme" ( Valencia will be the tomb of fascism).

However, there have been no relevant incidents beyond the exchange of insults between protesters and small groups concentrated along the route of the demonstration.
