The leader of Podem will be the candidate in the city of Valencia to try to return to the City Council

Two days after the second vice president of the Consell, Hñéctor Illueca, announced his candidacy to lead the Podem list to the Generalitat Valenciana, the regional coordinator of the formation, Pilar Lima, advanced her intention to lead the purple candidacy to the Valencia City Council .

In a message on Twitter, the also trustee of the parliamentary group explained her decision to participate in the municipal primaries to draw up the list for the town hall council. A process in which it is not expected that anyone will be able to cough it up given the great internal support that the current coordinator has.

An interesting distribution of roles with which the formation of the circles tries to drive away the ghosts (and the dreaded useful vote) that could leave him without representation in the Valencian Parliament.

With the foreseeable joint call for municipal and regional events, the city of Valencia is doubly key for Podem. On the one hand, the formation was left out of the consistory with 4.19% of the votes and would need to add some 3,000 more votes to be in the City Council. For this, the decision to assign one of its main electoral assets to the task.

In addition, Valencia brings together an important part of the regional census, so a good result in the capital would underpin Podem's options to continue having representation in Les Corts Valencianes.

With the step forward taken by Lima, the three forces of the Botànic already have their electoral tickets for next spring. The PSPV will present Ximo Puig (Generalitat) and Sandra Gómez (València) and, except for a major surprise, Compromís will opt for the Ribó-Baldoví binomial and Podem for the Illueca-Lima formula.
