The La Perla 29 troupe brings the international show '28 i mig' to the Grec festival

This Monday and Tuesday, the Grec audience will finally be able to see the most international piece of the La Perla 29 company, its fellinian 28 i mig. Premiered at the La Colline National Theater in Paris in March, where it was performed for a month, Oriol Broggi's troupe now presents at the Montjuïc amphitheater "a recreation of the world of theatre, literature, cinema, the circus... love, life, death.

“The first version of this montage premiered in 2013, based on the film 8 ½ by Federico Fellini, and we did it to talk about the Italian filmmaker, about us, about theater, about creation,” explains its director and creator.

The montage now is quite different and, among other things, incorporates the music of Joan Garriga. “It has gone in very well –continues Broggi–, with a mix of his songs and also makes songs that we had already used and some new stuff sound”.

The director affirms that “everyone acts, they let themselves go, like a troupe”. And the actress Màrcia Cisteró, who has participated in both productions, adds: “In his film, Fellini talks about the creative crisis that assailed him when he had to make his ninth film (hence the title) and Oriol has taken him in to talk of their things and we have also contributed ours”.

Broggi gives more details: “There is a Fellini background and a way of doing theater that Nino Rota's music reflects very well. When we did this show, we had the whole world of Peter Brook in mind. Traces of him remain. We worked with Fellini on the image of the beach at the end of the film and put it together with the sand from Brook."

In the montage, there is no lack of an Italian actor, who has just come full circle. Enrico Ianniello concludes: “As in 8 ½, our 28 i mig is a great party that floats above the restlessness of creation”.
