The King bets on a Spain of "more leading companies" at the Night of the Valencian Economy

Long night for the Valencian company. Cámara València celebrated its Night of the Valencian Economy today at the Palau de les Arts, with the presence of King Felipe VI, visiting the Valencian Community after having accompanied Porcelanosa in the morning in the celebration of its 50th anniversary at the facilities from Vila-real.

Felipe de Borbón, who concluded the gala amidst applause, highlighted the Valencian Community as "a land of great merchants and businessmen" and highlighted the export profile of its economy.

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, also spoke at the gala, and explained some of the fiscal measures announced this Thursday by his Government. Mazón has declared that "less fiscal asphyxiation means more dynamism and dynamism is not possible without freedom (...) Freedom to innovate, to undertake, to not settle for the same thing...", he added.

The president of the Valencia Chamber, José Vicente Morata, made indirect reference to the tax measures in his speech, highlighting that the business community requires an ecosystem that "allows it to prosper, innovate and compete", a reality that, in his opinion, the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, "has understood well." Next, Morata publicly thanked the head of the Consell for "listening to companies and being sensitive to their needs, especially SMEs."

This afternoon-night was the first major business event of the new political course and the debut in the large mass events for the new Consell. Among those present was the president of Les Corts, Llanos Massó; the Government delegate in the Community Pilar Bernabé and the Secretary of State for Commerce, Xiana Méndez, who highlighted in her intervention that on October 19 and 20 there will be an informal ministerial meeting of Commerce within the Spanish Presidency of the EU.

The host was the mayor of València, M.ª José Catalá, who in her speech gave hints of how much her mandate will offer, ensuring that "this City Council is going with legal certainty, public-private collaboration and an attractive fiscal framework (.. .) This City Council is going to play its role," he assured.

Likewise, the Consell has been represented by both the first vice president and Minister of Culture Vicente Barrera, and by the second vice president and Minister of Social Services Susana Camarero, as well as by the Ministers of Education, José Antonio Rovira; of Public Administration, Ruth Merino; of Justice, Elisa Núñez; of Innovation, Nuria Montes; of the Environment, Salomé Pradas and of Health, Marciano Gómez.

In addition, the president of the Diputación de Valencia, Vicente Mompó, attended; the general secretary of the UGT-PV, Ismael Sáez, or the former councilor Vicent Soler, currently president of the Fundación Adeit, as well as political and social representatives from different sectors of Valencian society.
