The Invest In València office doubles its budget to compete with large cities

In its first semester of activity, the Invest in València office has achieved seven investment projects in the city that represent more than 1.53 million euros of investment and that in the short term will generate some 155 jobs. The international firms that have established themselves in the city are Hyperion Group, CKS Consulting, Comercetools, Aviatar, Odoo, Arkhaus and Pack 5 Logística.

In addition, the Invest in València Office team has held more than 400 meetings and negotiations with potential partners and suppliers; has contacted more than 85 potential investors and has generated 41 portfolio investors.

These are the figures that were presumed yesterday at an informative breakfast in which both the deputy mayor Sandra Gómez and the president of the Valencia Chamber highlighted the work done during this time.

This last entity is the one that manages the office, for which it hired three people expressly (one director and two project managers) and enabled a technological platform, already accessible, to facilitate procedures and procedures for investors seeking to establish their business in the Valencian capital.

“This is a clear example of the scope of public-private collaboration. We have shown that we can carry out very efficient management if the administrations work hand in hand with the private sector; With this new service we have achieved a greater economic projection of the city and we have placed ourselves on the international investment map”, explained yesterday the deputy mayor, Sandra Gómez, during her intervention.

The presentation of the project, last September, was made by the current Government delegate, Pilar Bernabé, who has now been replaced by Borja Sanjuán, also present yesterday, in the economic area.

The countries with which the office is most active are Germany, the United States, France, Holland and Denmark, in addition to working with investors from other Spanish territories; and the predominant sectors in which these companies operate are ICT, real estate and logistics.

For his part, the president of the Valencia Chamber, José Vicente Morata, remarked that “the balance of the impact generated by the office is very positive. This is just the beginning of a project that will bring economic impact and quality employment to the city of Valencia. The office has done a great job of connecting investors with the city's business ecosystem, thanks to the meetings and network of contacts that the office has generated in just a few months."

The Valencia City Council and Chamber of Commerce share the idea that this collaboration, which is instrumentalized through the signing of an agreement with an economic endowment of 150,000 euros, facilitates the attention of the group of investors who wish to undertake a business activity in the municipal area of Valencia.
