In Oviedo, a woman was injured after a tree fell on her while she was walking through the city. She was also transferred to the Central University Hospital of Asturias but there are no fears for her life.

In addition, the storm has left almost 300 incidents in Cantabria and a hundred in Galicia, according to the emergency services.

In Cantabria, the two most notable incidents occurred during Friday night in Castro Urdiales, where the fall of a telephone pole has affected the supply in the Otañes neighborhood, and in Piélagos, where the strong wind has caused problems in the electric lighting.

In Galicia, the Integrated Emergency Assistance Center 112 recorded 63 incidents since midnight, the majority related to problems on the roads, from which a multitude of trees and branches, poles and cables and remains of landslides had to be removed. land.

The wind has been the main protagonist of the day, with very strong gusts throughout the northwest quadrant, especially in areas of the Galician and Asturian coast, as well as in the mountain systems and areas of the plateau.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the wind gusts have reached 203 kilometers per hour in Valdezcara (La Rioja), 161 kilometers per hour in Estaca de Bares (A Coruña) or 145 km/h in the station ski resort of La Covatilla (Salamanca).

In Cabo Busto (Asturias), a gust of 144 km/h was reached, in the La Pinilla ski resort (Segovia), a gust of 143 km/h, and in Fisterra (A Coruña) a gust of 141 km/h. .

The system of fronts associated with Domingos has also left especially important rainfall in Galicia, especially in areas of Pontevedra and A Coruña, where between 99 and 81 liters per square meter have fallen, as well as the first snowfalls of the season in high areas of the Pyrenees.

In the afternoon, the gusts of wind have extended to points in the eastern interior of the peninsula, and the maritime storm has been reactivated, especially on the coast of Galicia, where the waves could leave waves of between 8 and 10 meters.

Faced with these phenomena, Aemet and Civil Protection and Emergencies recommend securing doors, windows and objects that may fall onto public roads and staying away from cornices, trees, walls or buildings under construction or cranes that may fall off.

For drivers, they advise taking extreme caution, especially when exiting tunnels, overtaking and crossing heavy vehicles on two-way roads, and be alert to the possible presence of obstacles on the road.
