The ghost fog of the castle of Eramprunyà

This morning after a little rain in Gavà, in the Baix Llobregat region, we were able to see a spectacular fog enveloping the castle of Eramprunyà.

A ghostly and very beautiful image at the same time, which we can relive in this snapshot in The Readers' Photos of La Vanguardia.

In medieval times, the castle of Eramprunyà came to control the current territories of Gavà, Begues, Castelldefels, Sant Climent de Llobregat, Viladecans and part of Sant Boi de Llobregat.

Built as part of the defensive system of the border between Al-Andalus and the Carolingian Empire, it was owned by the counts of Barcelona.

Today, the remains of the castle can be seen on top of a mountain between cliffs with magnificent views of the Llobregat Delta and part of Garraf.
