The futuristic catamaran with swimming pool, massage room and even private garden

The renowned Tecnomar shipyard is in the news due to one of its new creations, which comes to revolutionize the navigation sector. After making a name for himself among boat manufacturers by being responsible for some of the most beautiful and luxurious superyachts in the world, he now wants to change the rules in another very different type of boat: catamarans.

A catamaran is usually squarer, wider and more stable than a superyacht because it is closer to the water. On the other hand, it is less elegant than a monohull. But the shipyard, which is part of The Italian Sea Group (TISG), has decided to change this widespread idea of traditional catamarans with a proposal that seems inspired by a design of the future.

Designed to offer speed, luxury and safety on board, if something characterizes Tecnomar's boats, it is that they are inspired by super sports cars: speed is one of the specialties of this shipyard. His new creature, baptized 'This is It' and which was born by order of an individual, was not going to be any less.

With a surprising and groundbreaking exterior image, the new catamaran aims to mark a turning point with regard to boat design, in general, and the future of sailing, specifically. And it wants to do it with elegant lines, an aerodynamic, sophisticated and curvy design inspired by sea creatures, incredible comforts and great efficiency.

Measuring 43.5 meters long and 14.5 meters wide, 'This is It' can accommodate up to 12 guests in its six cabins. It has the specifications of a luxury superyacht, such as a large open kitchen, a massage room, a swimming pool on the aft deck, large balconies and a private garden, which extends over two levels and gives the feeling of being in a luxury floating villa.

The garden is located on the private terrace of the master suite, meaning access could be restricted if the owner so wishes. In this case, it would be the living image of a secret garden on the sea.

The interior of the catamaran presents top quality finishes, with combinations of leather, fine woods and marble with bronze, titanium and carbon in a unique contrast of materials and textures. Neutral colors, large windows and skylights abound (it has around 600 square meters of glass), allowing in plenty of natural light. With this, the effect of a refined, clean, dynamic and extraordinarily relaxing environment is achieved.

Despite the immense glass surface, the design of this boat has been made seeking lightness. This, together with the aerodynamics of its structure, achieves what the brand pursues: exceptional speed and greater efficiency.

The ship also complies with IMO level III thanks to its innovative exhaust gas treatment technology, which reduces NOx emissions. In the video that accompanies this article you will be able to see one of the creations that the shipyard has made for the Italian luxury supercar brand Lamborghini.
