The full moon appears at the Cabrera sanctuary

In these images in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos we can see how the November full moon rises over the Cabrera Sanctuary.

The sanctuary of the Virgin of Cabrera is located on a ridge in the heart of Collsacabra, very close to the town of Cantonigrós, in the region of Osona.

From this location, you can enjoy a privileged point to observe the whole of the Plana de Vic, the Puigsacalm, the Cadí or the Montseny.

The name Collsacabra comes from the jurisdictional term of the Cabrera castle, also called Cabrerès. It is a humid wooded area, populated mainly by beech, oak, holm oak, birch and fir trees in the northern area. This is an area protected by the Plan for Areas of Natural Interest (PEIN) of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The full moon of November is the Beaver Moon. It is known by this name because this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze completely to ensure a supply of warm furs for the winter.

It is also suggested that the name full beaver moon comes from the fact that beavers in autumn actively prepare for winter. And, also, sometimes, this full moon is also known as the Icy moon or Frost moon.

Below, we can see the sequence in photographs:
