The fire that has been burning since yesterday afternoon between Catalonia and Aragon, and which has so far burned some 600 hectares, has been stabilized early this morning, sources from the Generalitat de Catalunya Fire Department have informed EFE.
Some forty ground media from the Generalitat as well as members of the Government of Aragon have worked all night in the area.
The aforementioned sources have indicated that two helicopters from the Generalitat will shortly join the extinction work since the intensity of the wind has dropped in the area, which yesterday prevented the work of aerial means and which fueled the rapid advance of the flames.
The fire has so far devastated some 600 hectares, of which 250 are in the Catalan municipalities of La Granja d'Escarp and Seròs and the rest in Aragon.
