The forensic report recommends that Griñán not enter prison

The Report of the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) sent to the Provincial Court of Seville on the state of the former president of the Junta José Antonio Griñán, sentenced to six years in prison for the case of the fraudulent ERE, acknowledges that his treatment seems "little compatible with prison dynamics". This is good news for him, since it will help him to be taken into account by the Prosecutor's Office and the Popular Party, which exercises the private prosecution, when ruling in favor or against his entry into jail.

This is recorded in the Report of the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) sent to the Provincial Court of Seville where it is recognized that he has a very serious illness and that hospital services outside the prison must be used for treatment.

Griñán went last Thursday, May 18, to the Court of Seville summoned so that the forensic of the Institute of Legal Medicine could examine him and assess the relevance of his admission, since he had finished his radiotherapy treatment and the guidelines to follow to fight against the prostate cancer that suffers could be pharmacological and rehabilitation. This report is made public today, signed by the forensic María Ángeles Dichas, which states that Griñán continues with hormonal treatment, and adds that it is unknown if his evolution "will be favorable or unfavorable", since he is pending medical check-ups in June and in September.

The coroner states in her report that "the side effects of hormonal treatment and radiotherapy, as well as the frequent check-ups to which he must be subjected, seem incompatible with life in prison" and that Griñán faces "side effects" of their treatment that require "close surveillance", when the Seville Penitentiary Center has notified that for cases like this it has to resort to "external hospital services".

Although the coroner has listed in the report the numerous challenges that Griñán will have to overcome if he has to deal with cancer in prison, the door for him to enter prison remains open.

However, this document will serve for the Prosecutor's Office and the Popular Party, which exercises the private prosecution, to rule on the entry into jail of the former president of the Board, the only one of the senior officials convicted of embezzlement from the ERE who is not prison.
