The Foggy Island of Tona Castle

In these images in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos we can see the Tona castle, with its church, like an island surrounded by a sea of fog with little waves.

It appears to us like a ship sailing in a fantasy sea, a calm sea. Of the old castle, only a defense tower sits directly on the rock, which we see on the left of the images.

More attractive is the church of Sant Andreu, located on the same mound. It is a Romanesque building with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque phases and renovations.

The church, documented by its consecration in the year 889, was replaced by another in the Lombard style, dating from the first half of the 11th century. Later reforms were carried out during the 17th and 18th centuries, adding side chapels, a bell tower and the Renaissance doorway. The cult continued until the 18th century, when it was moved to the church of Santa Maria del Barri.

In the accelerated video that we can see below you can see the Osona sea of fog surrounding this island of Tona almost without movement.
