It is not surprising that this floral landscape of Urgell is intrinsic to La Fuliola, since one of the versions of the origin of its name suggests that it comes from "fulla", leaf, in Catalan.
In fact, a leaf appears on the municipality's shield. Another version is decanted because the name comes from the Arabic al-folia, which means "place".
The landscape of this municipality, with the beautiful flora around Boldú, look in sync with the song of the birds. The town is mentioned for the first time on January 8, 1080, when Armengol IV granted it to Ponç Dalmau within the county of Urgell.
In 1949, Boldú was part of the municipality of Tornabous, until, for historical and proximity reasons, it was added to La Fuliola.
