The fire in Tenerife is giving its last blows after having affected 14,751 hectares in a 90 km perimeter of 12 municipalities and having devastated several natural areas. The fire has affected half of the forest crown that surrounds the Teide National Park and 7% of the total area of the island. There are no human casualties or damage to homes to be regretted.

Yesterday the work was concentrated in the Mal Abrigo area, in the highlands of Guímar, a steep area that makes firefighting difficult and where there is a risk of falling rolling stock. During the day there were small reactivations in Tacoronte and La Orotova that could be successfully put down. The good situation allowed the progressive return home of some 8,400 of the 12,000 residents who were still evicted.

Yes, the water supply problems persisted yesterday in various municipalities such as El Rosario, due to the breakdown in the Aguamansa canal. Although it was repaired on Sunday, the water still does not reach the neighbors. The problems with water and the hoaxes launched from the networks have generated a hostile environment in part of the population, which fears that they will not have a supply for their crops. As a consequence, there have been attacks against extinction forces. A helicopter was rendered inoperative yesterday after a resident of Güímar, arrested, threw stones at it. In the last few hours there have also been arrests of thieves who had accessed evicted homes.
