After years of having to go in person to the Public Administration Registry Offices, today it is finally possible to obtain the digital certificate from home. The administration has incorporated a very easy process to carry out and for a price of 2.99 euros (if you want to do everything from home) to have this necessary document for many online procedures.
Through a computer we must access the official website of the National Currency and Stamp Factory (FNMT) to download the program with which the certificate keys will be generated and which is very intuitive: when you install and open it you must go to "Start the application" and enter your data: names and surname, ID, email and others.
After this process, you will be able to "Send request" and a new page will appear where you can create a password with which the digital certificate will be linked. You will automatically receive an email from the FNMT with the instructions to confirm your identity by means of a code.

If we follow the online path, you will receive a video call to verify your identity by clicking on the "Access from here" option in the email, which will ask you again for a series of data. Then you will have to recover the code and paste it to access the "Let's start" button, where it will partially operate with your mobile phone.
On your device you will receive the code that you will have to put in the box that appears and you will have to continue uploading a photo of your complete ID. Here you will also have to undergo a facial recognition process that will last a few hours, so you will have to wait a maximum of two days to confirm everything and thus obtain your digital certificate.
