The death of a 63-year-old woman murdered in Chipiona is being investigated as a sexist crime

Although the investigation remains open and the Court of First Instance and Instruction of Sanlúcar de Barrameda has decreed the secrecy of the case, everything points to the fact that the 63-year-old woman found dead in Chipiona, Cádiz, would have been the victim of a new case of gender violence. Her husband, 73, has already been arrested for this event, which occurred on the night of August 23.

The Government Sub-delegation against Gender Violence is collecting data to confirm this point, which would bring the number of women murdered by this macho scourge to 38 in 2023, the 13th victim in Andalusia so far this year.

This new crime takes place after it was confirmed yesterday that the woman from Granada who died last May in an alleged car accident would have been murdered by her husband prior to the accident.

The new possible victim of gender violence would have been murdered by her husband around 10:45 p.m. on August 23 in the Cadiz town of Chipiona. The man was arrested hours after committing the crime and would be at the expense of going to court.

It is the Civil Guard who is taking charge of the investigation of this event, although the court has ordered the summary secrecy.
