The deadline for Andalusians residing abroad to request a vote by mail ends

Tomorrow is the deadline for requesting a postal vote for residents abroad who want to participate in the regional elections. There are more than 260,000 Andalusians who are called to exercise their democratic right on 19-J from their current countries of residence. At the moment, Argentina is the place that has registered the most requests, with a total of 57,488, followed by France, with just over 38,600, and France, with 30,800.

The calendar marks the deadline until June 15 for these citizens to send their votes, although for people who live permanently abroad a ballot box will be set up in the Consular Office or Section where they can deposit their ballots from the June 15 to 17.

Already in Andalusian territory, there are 6,378,398 residents who are registered as voters, of which 302,446 will be able to participate for the first time in elections. For them, the deadline to request a vote by mail will remain open until June 9. The request can be made electronically through the Correos website or in person.

Correos will be in charge of sending the request to the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and the Electoral Census Office, organizations that will send the vote by certified mail and the necessary documentation to the voter's address in a period between May 30 and June 12. The citizen who has chosen by this modality must send his envelope before June 15 to be counted.

For residents abroad:

-Application Deadline: May 21

-Deadline to send the vote: from June 24 to 15

-For permanent residents abroad, a ballot box will be opened from 17 to 17 at the consulate

For residents in Spain:

-Application Deadline: June 9

-Deadline to send the vote: June 16
