This Sunday the passage of the DANA is expected to be calmer in the Valencian Community. This is how the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat Valenciana portrays it, which establishes a medium / low risk of the pre-emergency level for dry storms, triggering several fires yesterday. It happened in towns like Montesa, but also in Borriol, Onda, Vila-real and Almassora, all of them in the province of Castellón.
For this Sunday, the forecast is that there will be locally strong showers and storms during the morning and possible precipitation throughout the day. Likewise, very strong gusts are expected from the east and northeast in Castellón and north of Valencia. In relation to temperatures, the minimum will not register changes and the maximum will be on the rise.
By provinces, in all there will be a warning for rains and storms at a yellow level, one step less than on Saturday. In the case of Castellón, winds and coastal phenomena are expected throughout the province; in Valencia there is a risk of winds in the north interior and north coast, as well as coastal phenomena at yellow level. In Alicante, the least hit area, this Sunday there is a warning of coastal phenomena along the entire coast.
The AEMET notice for this weekend also warned of the possibility that today, in the Mediterranean areas, a strong wind will blow from the Levant, which will increase humidity and favor the arrival of abundant rainfall. However, the forecast is that tomorrow the intensity of the episode will drop.
