The Cruïlla XXS festival opens to new and free stages

The Cruïlla XXS series kicks off a new edition today in a particularly attractive way because the Antigua Fábrica Estrella Damm in Barcelona will experience nine hours of live music offered by numerous bands and soloists. Subscribers to La Vanguardia have a 15% discount on tickets, as long as they are purchased at Tickets for Vanguardia.

Xarim Aresté, La Ludwig Band, Xarim and Oliva Trencada (with the complicity of Joan Miquel Oliver) are some of the names that will meet in Barcelona's Eixample. A space that will have a capacity of 2,800 people, and whose entry will cost three euros, with a drink included.

The lineup will be completed with Nico Miseria, Las Ninyas del Corro, Aqeelion, Carmen Xia, Chicxas Rosa, Juli Giuliani, Els Amics de Manel, Selma Bruna, Pocelam Ariox

This year's edition of the cycle organized by the Cruïlla festival will offer a total of more than twenty concerts, all of them in the conditions prior to the pandemic. And one of the novelties this year is the presence of new spaces where the performances will take place. Specifically, it is the Westfield Glòries, the shopping center in the homonymous square that has a large open-air space in contact with art thanks to the sculpture of Mariscal located there and various exhibitions by local artists.

Two free concerts will take place on this new stage. On the one hand, next Friday the 27th there will be the long-awaited and undoubtedly emotional celebration of the twentieth anniversary of Delafé y las Flores Azules, the suggestive project by Óscar D'Aniello and Helena Miquel, who are now revived. In Barcelona it is announced that his best-known songs will return (January on the beach, Sea the power of the sea...).

And a day later it will be the singer and musician David Otero who will capture the spotlight and attention. Otero arrives when he has long since established himself as an artist with his own personality, that is to say, much more than having been the guitarist of El Canto del Loco when he was a long time ago. His solo career already began to illuminate his own identity when he took cover behind the artistic alias of El Pescao. Since then he has ended up becoming a reference in current Spanish pop.

On the same day as the performance of Delafé and the Blue Flowers, the first of a series of brilliant proposals that will have their epicenter will take place at Poble Espanyol. In this case with paid tickets, that first download on the 27th of this month will be carried out by Mishima (9pm), who will premiere his recent album L'aigua clara in Barcelona. A day later it will be Leiva's turn, who will repeat the concert on June 10 after the sold out of the first date.

On June 22, the only foreign presence and besides the big ones, because that's what it's all about when talking about the Wilco band led by Jeff Tweedy. They also present new material in the form of the album Ode to joy. And closing the cycle, just a month later, on July 21, it is the turn of Love of Lesbian, who after their intense tour of American and European stages will present the VEHN tour at their home (initials of their latest album Voyage Épico Toward the Any ).
