The crescent moon levitates between wind clouds

These photographs that we see in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos were taken after sunset, in Terrassa, in the Vallès Occidental region.

These clouds appeared during the windy afternoon this past Friday, October 22. Its beauty, with a spectacular color and accompanied by the crescent moon, white, almost silver, is evident in the images.

I have made a cut out where you can best see this crescent moon that we have had for a few days. The current phase of the moon during the day and night is concave crescent.

This is the first phase after the new moon and is a good time to contemplate the characteristics of the surface of our natural satellite.

During this phase, the moon is close to the sun in the sky and mostly dark except for the right edge which becomes brighter as the days approach the next phase, which is the first quarter with a 50 % of lighting.
