The controversial video of a PP mayoress driving a construction vehicle after a party: "The village fairs end like this"

The celebration of the festivities in La Granjuela, a town in Cordoba with barely 450 inhabitants, has left an unusual image. The mayoress of the municipality, Montserrat Paz Jurado (PP), finished one of the days of the fair driving a construction vehicle belonging to the city council itself, as confirmed by the images that have already gone viral.

Paz appears in the video at the wheel of the machinery, already at dawn, while another woman records in reverse and is in charge of disseminating it through her social networks. "The fairs of the towns end like this," she says to the camera while she holds a glass of drink. In addition, she greets the councilor, whom she calls by the diminutive 'Montse'.

The piece, lasting 30 seconds, shows how both occupants of the vehicle travel without any type of security measure, such as the use of seat belts. The mayoress, on the other hand, diverts her vision from the road for several seconds to look at the mobile camera, while she continues to move.

"We don't know where we're going!" exclaims with a laugh, the person in charge of recording and uploading the video to her Instagram account. The controversial fragment has been widely disseminated to the point that Montserrat Paz has been forced to apologize publicly through a statement.

"I humbly admit my mistake, being aware today due to the interpretations that have been given of this situation, that I made a mistake and that is why I assume my responsibility", the councilor has also written on her social profiles to apologize to the residents of La Granjuela.

Paz states that "this type of event will not happen again", in reference to his images on board the construction machinery, and explains the reasons that led him to record himself driving it. "I wanted, in a moment of need, to contribute my grain of sand to collaborate with my workers," says the mayoress, adding that the intention "was none other than to help."
