On January 24, the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) will deliver a series of recognitions on the occasion of the San Francisco de Sales festival, which include the naming of 'illustrious UCM Alumni' to the photographer Miguel Trillo, the writer Arturo Pérez Reverte, and the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, among others.
The steering committee of the UCM Alumni program has approved this Friday the list of illustrious people that will be recognized, based on the results of a vote held at the meeting of the Faculty of Information Sciences on November 7.
The Madrid president is the first student of this faculty to hold the presidency of the Government of an autonomous community and the first in the history of the Spanish autonomous region to have a degree in Information Sciences, the UCM has reported.
A total of seven graduates will be appointed, including Rafa Antón, founder of the Chinese advertising agency, Chief Creative Officer in Llorente and Cuenca, and Ángel Expósito, journalist, former director of Europa Press, and now director of La Linterna in COPE Chain.
The actor Antonio de la Torre, winner of two Goya awards; Xurxo Torres, journalist, founder and CEO of the Torres y Carrera Public Relations agency, and Miguel Trillo, documentalist, artist and writer.
The act of recognition of the new 'illustrious UCM Alumni' will take place in the faculty's assembly hall, on the occasion of the Festivity of the Center, on January 24, 2023, the day of San Francisco de Sales. It will be chaired by the rector of the Complutense University, Joaquín Goyache Goñi and the dean of the Faculty, Jorge Clemente Mediavilla.
The list of 'illustrious UCM Alumni' 2023 proposed by the Faculty is the result of consultations with all departments, sections, departmental units and the dean's team.
