In the inspection of ten premises in Badalona, eight violations related to the sale of fireworks were detected, including the sale of some of great power without authorization. Prior to the Verbena de Sant Joan, the Civil Guard has deployed an operation to control the material pyrotechnics and the detection of infringements that may pose a danger to public safety.
The Civil Guard has inspected ten establishments for the sale of pyrotechnic material in Badalona, detecting eight infractions and intervening 650,000 pyrotechnic devices (about 570 kg of material). Thirty agents from various Civil Guard Weapons Interventions have participated in this operation.
The infractions detected are for exceeding the limits allowed in the fireworks trade, for omitting the mandatory communication to the Weapons and Explosives Intervention of the Civil Guard and the sale of firecrackers of a power greater than that allowed for that establishment, among others. .
Among the 650,000 firecrackers seized are some of great power whose sale is prohibited to minors.
