The Valencia City Council has sent a statement in which it informs that it has informed Valencia CF today that the decision has been made not to carry out any negotiations on the urban planning agreement until the Club effectively resumes the construction works of the New Stadium, paralyzed since almost fifteen years ago. This has been conveyed, after the round of meetings with the political groups and the main representative groups of the fans.

For this reason, the City Council will limit itself to processing the license requested by the club, provided that Valencia C.F. responds satisfactorily to the documentation and clarification requirements that may be made by the officials responsible for processing such license.

Only when Valencia C.F effectively resumes the works will negotiations begin to advance an agreement that will be based on the draft made by the previous municipal government, although with additions that guarantee that the club complies with the city. Among the incorporations that were not foreseen in the draft of the agreement made by the previous government team, will be included, among others, a temporary schedule of the works with penalties in case of non-compliance that must be guaranteed by bank guarantee, as well as details of the sources of financing for the works of the New Stadium.

On the other hand, there will be no increase, neither quantitative nor qualitative, in the urban use that the current planning recognizes for the plots owned by Valencia C.F; No license will be granted regarding the plots of private lucrative use of the New Stadium without the amount corresponding to the construction of the Benicalap municipal sports center, with VAT included, having previously been deposited in the Treasury.

Nor will the reparcelling of the land on which the Mestalla is located be approved and the resulting properties will be registered without, previously, the New Stadium being fully built and in operation and the Mestalla having been demolished or its demolition guaranteed through a bank guarantee.

Finally, the City Council will also request that Valencia CF withdraw from the contentious-administrative appeals presented against the acts of the Generalitat Valenciana of denial of extension and declaration of the former ATE.

(((There will be an extension)))
