The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has advanced its sports program for 2023, which will include among its 17 events up to four world championship races: Formula 1 (from June 2 to 4), MotoGP (September 1-3), Superbike (5 -May 7) and the new addition to the Valles track, the Electric Touring World Championship, which will arrive on October 7-8.

By contrast, the Circuit will not host the F1 winter tests in February in 2023 as had been traditional (called Pre-season Track Sessions last year by F1, to differentiate them from the official Bahrain Tests), nor the World Cup test. of Rallycross, which had been a classic on the track. In fact, this 2022, the Circuit had been the first test of a 100% electric FIA World Championship.

They repeat in 2023 regular races at the Montmeló circuit such as the 24 Hours of motorcycles and motor racing, the Catalan motorcycling and motor racing championships, or the Spanish Superbike and Endurance championships.

In 2022, the Circuit had an occupancy of 89% with 325 days of activity: 93 days were for competition and 232 for rentals (training, driving courses, companies, filming, presentations). He was out of business for another 31 days due to track maintenance works.

Public attendance closed with 587,714 spectators, the second highest figure in the last 10 years, only surpassed by that of 2013 (618,896).

The highest attendance figures were in Formula 1, with 277,836 in attendance during the four days of the Spanish Grand Prix (the "no tickets" sign was hung two months before the GP), and in MotoGP with 111,574 spectators in the three days of the Catalan GP.

The third event with the largest audience was the Superbike Catalunya Round with 28,898 spectators in three days. It was followed by Rallycross and the e-Mobility Experience with 15,173 attendees.
