The Chinese LS2Helmets opens headquarters in Terrassa to grow in Europe

Its 30 models are fashionable helmets. With a varied graphic design – from more classic to very groundbreaking, designed for different audiences – the Chinese company LS2 Helmets has made a clear commitment to creating trends in motorcycle clothing, both for urban, road or competition users.

The firm, which has just turned 15, continues to grow and a good example of this is the large headquarters that it opened in July in the Santa Margarida II industrial estate. "We want to reaffirm our presence in Europe with these facilities from where we offer a fast, flexible and personalized service for the more than 8,000 stores to which we sell and the 48 distributors in the main European countries", highlights the Italian Giuseppe Porcu, CEO of LS2 Helmets. The new offices have a space of 3,000 m2 dedicated to design, marketing, finance and the sale of products (helmets, clothing, gloves and accessories), as well as a 500 m2 showroom. At the European headquarters they produce 300,000 helmets per month, "half of world production".

The building houses a warehouse with a capacity for up to 150,000 units and the distribution point. The logistics part is equipped with five loading and unloading docks over 10,000 m2, according to Porcu. Thanks to the new headquarters, the brand, a subsidiary of the Tech Design Team, will be able to reduce delivery times.

His contact with Vallès comes from afar. At the beginning of 2007 the company already had a small warehouse in the Els Bellots industrial estate in Terrassa, but they decided to expand and moved to Castellar del Vallès in 2010. Now he has returned to Terrassa because of "its location, communication is very good and 80% of the workforce is from here," says the manager.

The company has 40 employees. In 2021, it had a turnover of 52 million euros and the forecast is to continue growing, despite the energy crisis. In July, the facilities were inaugurated with a party attended by the main distributors and customers from all over the world. “A seal of identity is that we offer a balance between security, good design and price. The helmet, in the end, is a complement and has to arouse passion, like the motorcycle”, he reasons. Prices range between 69 and 800 euros.

The firm continues to innovate with the presentation of new product lines: motorcycle clothing that responds to those who use two wheels, both on a daily basis and within the world of competition. Between traditional biker pants and jackets, a mixed line of denim aesthetics stands out, as well as light leggings for women. "It looks like street clothes, but they are approved models, with all the protections and it is very safe fashion."
