The Cap Roig Festival closes its 22nd edition with more than 43,200 spectators and 93% occupancy

Rigoberta Bandini, the female artist of the moment, has got the audience at the Cap Roig Festival on their feet tonight with hits like Ay Mama or Let's See What's Up. A finishing touch to a festival that closes its twenty-second edition with more than 43,200 spectators. In total, 19 performances by great international and national stars have made up, for yet another year, an eclectic and first-class line-up, with the aim of once again offering the public a unique cultural experience in an incomparable setting on the Costa Brava.

And it is that on the stage of Cap Roig artists of the stature of Sebastián Yatra, Christina Aguilera, Stay Homas, Pablo Alborán, Miki Núñez, Els Pets, Taburete, Raphael, Rosario, Sergio Dalma, Camilo, Mika, Sting have paraded this year. , Dani Martín, Joan Dausà and Morat. The festival has also hosted the Xiula and Bye Bye Monstre family shows, within the framework of the already consolidated Cap Roig Mini.

Organized by Clipper's Live with the support of CaixaBank, the Cap Roig Festival thus closes this edition with a successful figure of more than 43,200 spectators. The sold-out sign has been hung at a total of eleven concerts, reaching an occupancy rate of 93%.

The director of Communication and Institutional Relations at CaixaBank, Maria Lluïsa Martínez Gistau, explains that "the artistic and attendance success of this edition of the Cap Roig Festival reaffirms its position as one of the summer festivals of reference at European level". In this sense, Martínez Gistau highlighted that the festival "has a very positive impact on the revitalization of the economy of the territory, on cultural activity and on the generation of new opportunities, objectives closely linked to the values ​​that CaixaBank represents".

For his part, the president of the Clipper's Group and director of the Cap Roig Festival, Juli Guiu, expressed "very satisfied to once again see the great reception and confidence on the part of an audience that, year after year, supports the different proposals artistic performances of a festival as eclectic and varied as that of Cap Roig. In this edition, we have once again achieved a resounding success in terms of attendance, with 93% occupancy in 19 extraordinary nights with the best national and international stars of the moment”.

Guiu wanted to thank “the great work and effort of the entire team involved in the festival, as well as the support of CaixaBank and the La Caixa Foundation, and the group of sponsors who have accompanied us this year. The collaboration of all of them contributes, one more year, to making the festival grow and to position it as one of the benchmark summer events at an international level”.

The Cap Roig Festival has once again scheduled a solidarity night this year. A part of the proceeds from the Sergio Dalma show will go to a project of the Vimar Foundation, an entity that works to improve the quality of life of people with functional diversity or mental illness in the Baix Empordà region.

Specifically, support will be given to this entity for the adaptation and equipment of a sensory stimulation room within the La Bòbila Nova Specialized Attention Center, located in Palafrugell, which accommodates up to 24 beds. This room will aim to bring music, among other activities, to all these people. Vimar is a reference entity in the Baix Empordà that seeks to raise awareness and move towards a more inclusive, accessible and respectful society with diversity.

This edition has also reinforced the Cap Roig Mini, an initiative that began in 2013 with the aim of offering children's and family programming during the festival. This year two shows have been scheduled: Xiula and Bye Bye Monstre, Dagoll Dagom's first family musical, which have made the youngest members of the family the protagonists.
