The Bureau of Parliament again refuses to suspend Jové y Salvadó

The Pralament Board has once again rejected, by majority, applying article 25.4 of the Regulations, on the suspension of rights and duties, to the deputies Josep M. Jové and Lluís Salvadó, pending trial for their alleged involvement in the preparations for the 1 -EITHER.

The Table, which has voted again against applying the article to suspend the two Republican deputies after doing so yesterday in response to a request from Vox, responded this Wednesday in the same way to a letter presented by Ciutadans in the same sense. The governing body of the Chamber repeats the argument: "there is no enabling fact" to apply this article.

Although in recent days the president of Junts, Laura Borràs, had tried to compare her case to that of the republicans Salvadó and Jové, all the groups represented in the Table, including that of the suspended president of the Chamber herself, had ruled out submitting debates the activation of the article of the Parliament's regulation regarding the suspension of deputies immersed in corruption cases.
