The body of a man blindfolded and tied at the feet and hands was found today hanging from a viaduct near the Italian city of Trieste (northeast) and its analysis has already begun to determine his identity and clarify the event.
The body corresponds to a man between 40 and 50 years old and the scientific police have detected trauma, cuts and burns, according to local media.
It has been found by the staff of the public road maintenance company ANAS hanging from the guardrail of a viaduct on the highway that leads to the town of Muggia, very close to the port city of Triestre and the Slovenian border.
The body was hanging towards an area that was difficult to access and full of vegetation, barely visible from the road, and showed no signs of decomposition.
After the alarm, personnel from the Emergency Service, the police, the Carabineros (militarized police), the firefighters and the Civil Protection went to the scene.
