The Bnew starts by focusing on the real estate market and mobility

The DFactory of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) hosted this Monday the first day of the Barcelona New Economy Week (Bnew), the hybrid congress on the new economy organized by the same entity.

"Since its first edition, we saw that the Bnew was necessary for economic reactivation", recalled the special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, at the official opening. After her, some of the most outstanding presentations of the day dealt with public-private collaboration in the real estate field and about this sector.

"It is possible that Spain will suffer a slight recession during the second semester and 2023. The real estate sector is better positioned than during the 2008 crisis," said economics professor Gonzalo Bernardos. "The real estate sector is no stranger to the economy, however, it is receding more slowly," added the executive director of Merlin Properties, Ismael Clemente.

Among the multitude of talks, there was also talk about mobility, metaverse and hybrid emergency, among other topics. The Bnew will be held until next Thursday, bringing together 600 speakers and expecting more than 12,000 attendees.
