Sail In, the international benchmark in the field of cinema and nautical culture, will arrive in Barcelona in the Sail in Tour format, with a three-day cycle. It will be part of the Cultural Regatta, the program of activities promoted by Barcelona City Council to accompany the arrival of the Sailing America's Cup, the great sporting event that the city will host from August 22.

On May 24, June 21 and July 26, the theater of the Center de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) will host a special program that will bring the public closer to the passion for sailing and the connection with the sea, with a selection of screenings and documentaries that explore the rich and fascinating maritime and sailing culture.

All Sail in Tour sessions will take place starting at six in the afternoon and after the screenings there will be a talk with relevant figures from the world of sailing who will share their experiences and offer a new perspective on this sport and its deep relationship with the sea.

Sail in Tour comes to Barcelona thanks to the Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona Provincial Council and the Barcelona Capital Náutica Foundation, and is part of the Cultural Regatta of the America's Cup for sailing. The festival aims to disseminate the values ​​of nautical sports and promote maritime culture among the Barcelona and international public.

The organization of the event has prepared a program that includes a selection of the best documentaries that have appeared in previous editions of Sail In Festival as well as more recent and unpublished works.

The screenings and documentaries cover a wide variety of topics related to the culture of sailing, from regatta competition and the adventure of sailing through different seas to respect for the marine environment, the role of women sailors or stories of the most relevant characters in the world of sailing.

The first day of the Tour will feature Sir Roben Knox-Johnston, considered by many to be the most famous sports yachtsman of all time. In 1969, he became the first person to sail solo and non-stop around the world, a feat that earned him the title of Sir and made him a legend in the world of sailing.

Sir Roben Knox-Johnston will be present in Barcelona on May 24 to participate in a talk following the screening of a documentary about his life and will share the experiences, anecdotes and reflections on his epic sailing voyage around the world. This will be a unique opportunity to get to know a legendary figure up close and delve into the values ​​of sailing.

The first of the three days of Sail In Tour will take place on May 24 with the screening of two great documentaries. Philosopher of the Sea explains the extraordinary story of Swedish navigator Sven Yrvind and his nearly 15,000-mile solo voyage from Ireland to New Zealand. A film that invites you to reflect on life and the search for adventure.

For his part, Sir Roben Knox-Johsnton- Sailing Legend reviews the career of this legendary navigator and his epic voyage around the world.
