The Rolling Stones have revealed that Sidonie and Vargas Blues Band feat. John Byron Jagger will open the Madrid concert of his new Sixty tour. The Catalan indie rock group and the one led by Javier Vargas have been chosen to be the opening act at Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano on June 1. It will be the first performance of the new tour that the Rolling Stones have organized to celebrate the band's 60th anniversary.

The Sidonie trio, made up of Marc Ros, Jesús Senra and Axel Pi, published in 2020 The return of ABBA, their tenth studio work. Originally from Barcelona, ​​the group has been on stage for more than 20 years, performing at multiple festivals and becoming a reference in the Spanish indie scene.

Vargas Blues Band will perform along with John Byron Jagger, son of Chris Jagger, brother of the singer of the Stones. Mick Jagger's nephew has been a member of guitarist Javier Vargas's band for a few years now and, in May 2019, they jointly released the album Move On.

After the Madrid concert, the Rolling Stones will head to Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Austria, France and Sweden, where they will play in stadiums throughout the summer. At Sixty they offer a new show and a new production, again accompanied by Steve Jordan on drums. The repertoire of this new tour is full of the band's classics, but there is also a selection of unexpected songs.

Sixty comes on the heels of the huge success of the No Filter tour, which had the highest grossing in the US. At No Filter concerts, the Rolling Stones played stadiums across the country hanging sold out signs, selling more than half a million admissions in fall 2021.
