The storm that arose from the fusion of the remains of the ex-Franklin storm and a cold low that came from DANA will leave rain this Friday in the northwest of the peninsula, while the sun will shine in the rest of the country, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

This unstable and changing situation will last until the weekend, with locally strong or persistent showers and storms in some places.

For this Friday, cloudy skies are expected with showers and storms that can be locally strong, especially in Galicia and western Asturias. Some early morning showers are also expected in areas of the central north of the peninsula, a continuation of the previous day.

The agency foresees an increase in cloud cover in much of the interior of the peninsula, with possible showers accompanied by occasional storms in the rest of the northern Atlantic slope, western Cantabrian, Iberian, southeastern mountain ranges and northern face of the Pyrenees, more likely. and intense in the mountains.

In the rest of the country, stable weather with intervals of low clouds and probable morning fog banks in the Mediterranean area and in the Strait and Alboran area.

There will be no major changes in temperatures, which will be high for the time of year in the Cantabrian Sea. Maximum temperatures of 30 degrees will be reached in Almería, Badajoz, Bilbao, Cáceres, Córdoba, Girona, Granada, Guadalajara, Jaén, Logroño, Ourense, Pamplona, ​​Toledo or Vitoria.

Instability will continue over the weekend in the northwest of the peninsula. Locally strong or persistent showers and storms are expected in Galicia, western Asturias, upper Ebro and northern Iberian system. For Saturday, the agency has activated the yellow alert in five communities: La Rioja, the Basque Country, Galicia, Castilla y León and Asturias. It is not ruled out that haze may be observed again, affecting the southeast of the peninsula and Melilla.

For Sunday, the Atlantic low pressure system is expected to continue exerting its influence on the Peninsula. Specifically, locally strong showers and storms are not ruled out, although they would only affect northern Galicia, western Asturias, upper Ebro and Navarra.
