The actor Adrián Lastra and the Mexican actress Esmeralda Pimentel will present the Forqué Awards gala, which will be held on December 17 in Madrid, with the films Cinco Lobitos and Alcarrás, or the series Rapa and Apagón as favorites.

The awards, which reach their 28th edition this year, will be delivered on December 17 at the IFEMA Municipal Palace in Madrid at a gala that will reward the best projects in the Spanish audiovisual sector this season.

Both Lastra and Pimentel have extensive careers in film, television, theater and music. Lastra started in musical theater with Hoy no me puedo levantar (2005-2009), and then made the leap to the big screen with Fuga de Cerebros, Primos and series like Velvet or Jaguar for Netflix.

In the cinema, he has been seen in Knock Knock, The Infidels Club, If I Were Rich, Litus, Until the Wedding Do Us Part or, more recently, The Golden Apple.

Esmeralda Pimentel began her career in the telenovela Verano de amor, followed by El color de la pasión, La vecina and Enamorándome de Ramón, in which she starred. The Mexican is one of "the hallmarks of the contemporary Ibero-American audiovisual", says the Forqué organization in a note.

It has also been seen on platforms with interventions in The Candidate and Temperance, both from Prime Video, Where There Was Fire or Beauty and the Beasts, from Netflix.

On the big screen, he has worked on He Who Seeks, Finds or No Man's Land, the Conor Allyn film in which he shares credits with Andy McDowell, Frank Grillo and Jorge A. Jiménez.

The Forqué Awards have been organized since 1996 by Egeda, the non-profit entity for the management of audiovisual producers' rights.

The objective of the awards is to disseminate the importance of the Spanish audiovisual and film industry, promote the figure of the producer and reward the best Spanish productions each year for their technical and artistic values.

The 28th edition of the Forqué Awards also includes the participation of the Madrid City Council, the Community of Madrid and RTVE, and the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and FIPCA.
