TecnoCampus and PIMEC renew the agreement to reinforce the development of economic activity in Maresme

The TecnoCampus and PIMEC have signed a new cooperation agreement this week, the objective of which is to promote the development of economic activity in Maresme through the transmission of knowledge, both from academia to the business world and from industry to the classroom.

The act of formalizing the agreement has been carried out in the new headquarters that the employers occupy in the spaces of the technology park and has had the participation of David Bote Paz, mayor of Mataró; Josep Lluís Checa, general director of TecnoCampus; and Joan Pera Gallemí, president of PIMEC del Maresme.

The three signatories agreed that the new agreement is an opportunity to promote the progress of the industrial fabric of Mataró and the entire region. "The agreement seeks to promote cooperation between the technology park and the employers' association to modernize the economic activity of our city so that it can face the challenges that lie ahead, including the energy and ecological transition," said David Bote.

"For us, signing this agreement with TecnoCampus is a way of connecting the business world of the region with a reference space in training and entrepreneurship," said Joan Pera Gallemí. And he added: "For us it is very important and beneficial to be part of the activities proposed by the technological park and also that they are part of the ones we carry out."

One of the main axes on which the agreement signed between TecnoCampus and PIMEC is based is the dissemination of knowledge between academia and the business sector.

“Among the various proposals included in the agreement, the promotion of training is included. On the one hand, our members will be able to take advantage of the courses and projects developed by TecnoCampus. And, on the other hand, we will have access to the technology park facilities and experts who will improve our training offer”, explained the president of PIMEC del Maresme.

"The agreement means, for example, that PIMEC undertakes to carry out activities related to the management and dissemination of knowledge and the development of joint projects linked to training," announced David Bote, when asked about what it would translate into. the deal.

The agreement signed this week between the technology park and the employers' association is the confirmation of a prosperous relationship of several years between both organizations to promote the development of the industrial fabric of Mataró and the Maresme region.

“The collaboration between PIMEC and TecnoCampus has been running for some time and we have already carried out various activities to face future challenges. One of the most important examples is the Ecological Transition Office whose objective was to support companies in the territory so that they could transform their production model and make it more sustainable”, stated the mayor of Mataró.

“Our association has naturally been integrated into the TecnoCampus ecosystem. From the outset we saw that linking up with an entity like this would be essential for us”, mentioned Joan Pera Gallemí. To which he added: “An example of this union is that the president of PIMEC Joves, Carlos Martínez, was a former student of the technology park. In addition, we are also part of the jury for the Creatic awards”.

"In the coming months, in addition to executing the agreement, we will carry out, together with PIMEC, the inauguration of a 3D printing center open to any company in the region and the city of Mataró", concludes the mayor, David Bote.
